Mövenpick Phu Quoc is proud to announce its successful recertification with Green Globe in 2025. Marking two consecutive years of recognized sustainability excellence, this milestone reflects the resort’s unwavering commitment to turning environmental pledges into solid, daily actions.

Reflecting on 2025, Mövenpick Resort Phu Quoc successfully transitioned from foundational sustainability planning to deeply embedded operational practices. Achieving the Green Globe Certification has been an incredible external validation of our team’s shared responsibility and hard work.

Through targeted technical adjustments and enhanced training, we achieved a significant 8.05% reduction in electricity consumption and decreased our overall water usage by 18.01% compared to 2024. Our engagement in the regional ‘Heartist Race to Reduce’ even earned us recognition for the highest campaign-period water reduction at 42%. Beyond resource efficiency, we took pride in driving circular principles on-property.

We significantly expanded our Vi Garden, introducing probiotic composting to manage food waste and grow priority herbs directly for our culinary teams. Furthermore, we enriched guest experiences and streamlined communication by transitioning fully to a digital hotel directory and launching self-service water refilling stations to minimize plastic waste.

As we look ahead to 2026, we are dedicated to deepening our environmental impact and maximizing guest engagement. A key new initiative we are thrilled to implement this year is our ‘Skip the Clean’ program, which empowers guests to actively participate in conserving water and energy by opting out of daily housekeeping in exchange for meaningful resort rewards.
