“A Kilo of Kindness” Campaign at Movenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc – leading to the UN International Day of Charity.

 

Movenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc has called for guests, team members, and other Accor Hotels around the island to participate in the campaign by donating at least one kilo of rice, cooking oil, and dried food at the resort lobby.

After one week, the resort has collected around 55,000,000 VND in cash, clothes, and children’s books in “A Kilo of Kindness” Campaign. The team has converted cash into more than 1000 kg of rice, 500 kg of food, and sent it to 32 families in the unprivileged village nearby in Cua Can Commune, Phu Quoc island. In every boxes, the team has put a letter from the hotel to the poor family with the hope that the gift will help parents to take of their kids and the families will stand strong during the difficult time.
